SUGA de BTS: “Mi principal fuente de inspiración es la rabia”

Suga, uno de los integrantes de BTS, el grupo de K-pop más famoso del mundo, es toda una celebridad dentro y fuera de Corea del Sur. Las fronteras de este tipo de música se han derribado a golpe de movimiento de cadera y letras muy pegadizas.
El que haya sido considerado como uno de los productores y raperos con mayor proyección a nivel internacional gracias a su talento ha sido portada junto a sus compañeros de BTS en el número de enero de 2022 en Vogue Corea.
En la entrevista, Suga confesó que la rabia era la principal inspiración en sus primeras composiciones. “Mi primer mixtape se hizo a través de la rabia. No sabía con quién enfadarme. No fue hasta aquel entonces que me enfrenté a mí mismo. Convertí la rabia y mi complejo de inferioridad en mis armas”, explicó.
“Pero creo que fue alrededor de 2018 cuando mi rabia autodestructiva comenzó a perder su efecto. Pensé que ya no podía usar solo eso para seguir adelante”, agregó el rapero surcoreano. Estos pensamientos son los que llevaron a la creación del segundo mixtape de Suga llamado “D-2″, un álbum musicalmente maduro.
Quizás esa rabia viniese dada de la frustración de no poder haber cumplido su sueño de ser jugador de baloncesto. Durante una entrevista con la revista Billboard, reveló que siempre quiso ser jugador profesional de baloncesto. Sin embargo, no pudo ser debido a la estatura de 1.74 mts, no fue suficiente para poder desempeñarse como atleta de este deporte. “Tenía muchas ganas de convertirme en jugador de baloncesto cuando era más joven, pero no pude crecer más. Es un recuerdo muy triste. Tengo la misma estatura que tenía en mi segundo año de secundaria”, confesó el rapero.
Ahora otra de sus pasiones, la moda, puede verse desarrollada gracias a la colaboración entre Louis Vuitton y BTS. Estos últimos fueron nombrados embajadores de la marca por el inolvidable Virgil Abloh.
